Hai Phong has over 1.17 million social insurance participants

By the end of August 2026, Hai Phong was estimated to have 1,177,649 social insurance participants, up 8.3% year on year, equivalent to 56.4% of the working-age labor force and reaching 99.3% of the annual target, according to the city's socio-economic report.
Along with social insurance, the number of people participating in health insurance was estimated at 3,964,879 as of the end of August 2026, a rise of 4.2% over the same period last year.
Maintaining the growth in the number of people participating in social and health insurance policies contributes to improving access to social security and healthcare policies for local residents and workers.
The settlement and payment of social and unemployment insurance benefits have been carried out in a timely manner. In the first eight months of 2026, benefit payments totaled VND 14,775.8 billion, up 3% year on year.
