Hai Phong to invest over VND 11.5 trillion in education
Hai Phong plans to allocate more than VND 11.5 trillion to implement a plan to ensure facilities for public preschools and general education schools across the city from 2026 to 2030.
Of this amount, more than VND 9.215 trillion will be used to build facilities for preschools and general education schools; over VND 1.294 trillion will be invested in specialized high schools; and more than VND 1.06 trillion will be spent on minimum teaching equipment for the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program.
The funding for facilities will be used to build an additional 3,745 permanent classrooms, 3,994 subject and learning support rooms, and 1,427 sanitation facilities for public educational institutions.
The city plans to invest VND 174.24 billion in the third phase of construction of Tran Phu High School for the Gifted and VND 1.1199 trillion to build a new Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted.
The Municipal People's Committee identifies maximizing resources, promoting socialization and attracting other lawful sources of funding as important solutions to ensure resources for implementing the plan. It will also strengthen State management in advising on investment policies, ensuring that projects are invested in the right direction and locations and meet educational development requirements for the 2026 - 2030 period.
