Patriotism among Hai Phong youth
Hai Phong youth are finding creative and practical ways to celebrate National Day (September 2).

Expressing patriotism through practical, everyday actions
National Day is not only an occasion to look back on the nation's heroic past or take part in traditional commemorative activities. Young people in Hai Phong are also choosing to turn their love for the fatherland into a series of practical actions with meaningful social impact.
In response to activities marking the 81st anniversary of the August 1945 Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2026) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2026), Youth Union branches in communes and wards such as Kien Hung, Kien Minh and Hung Dao have promoted the pioneering spirit of young people in digital transformation, working in conjunction with the 1.022 hotline and digital platforms.
Volunteer teams directly assist residents with administrative procedures, including installing, activating and using VNeID electronic identification accounts, providing guidance on using online public services, helping install and activate electronic health records, social security accounts, the eTax mobile app and the 114 fire emergency reporting app, as well as social insurance services. They also promote awareness of the benefits and significance of digital transformation in daily life, contributing to building a digital society.

Bui Thi Thanh Thao, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Dao Ward, said patriotism does not mean doing something grand or distant. For young people in the ward, patriotism these days is expressed through helping hundreds of residents access technology and complete paperwork more quickly through the public service portal, taking part in online contests about the history of the Party and the nation, donating blood or joining campaigns to clean up the environment and improve the landscape.
Joining the rhythm of young people's lives
During these historic August days, many young people are choosing to turn toward the fatherland by watching historical documentaries about the nation with their friends. Film screenings marking the 81st anniversary of the August 1945 Revolution and National Day, organized at movie theaters and various venues across the city in August and September, are attracting enthusiastic participation from young people.
From August 17 to September 5, thousands of Youth Union members and young people in 114 communes, wards and special administrative zones, as well as at universities, colleges, vocational schools, senior high schools and junior high schools, are responding to the communication campaign "Proud to be socialist Youth Union members."

The activity is part of the project "Building socialist Youth Union branches associated with socialist Youth Union members in Hai Phong City for 2026 - 2030 and beyond," launched by the Hai Phong Youth Union to mark the 81st anniversary of the August 1945 Revolution and National Day.
The Youth Union and young people across the city are joining the campaign by changing their profile and cover photos to the campaign's common visual identity, spreading the projects, activities, models and initiatives carried out in the process of building socialist Youth Union branches. They are also sharing exemplary Youth Union members, good deeds and positive actions that demonstrate confidence, responsibility, pioneering spirit, creativity and the desire to contribute.
These movements are not merely superficial activities but aim for greater depth, creating an environment for young people to develop their character and affirm their pioneering role in building a civilized city.
For Hai Phong's young people, celebrating National Day in their own way is therefore not simply the joy of a single holiday, but has become a way of life, deeply rooted in the consciousness of many students and Youth Union members.
