Hai Phong Port offers three days of free container storage for National Day

Import-laden containers discharged from vessels at Tan Vu terminal (Hai Phong Port JSC) will be exempt from storage charges for three days on the occasion of National Day (September 2).

Hai Phong Port JSC is offering free container storage during the National Day (September 2) holiday to support shipping lines, shipping agents and customers.

Import-laden containers discharged from vessels will be exempt from storage charges for three days, from August 31 through September 2, at Tan Vu terminal. This policy does not apply to refrigerated containers carrying goods that require electricity.

If the National Day free-storage period overlaps with a free-storage period stipulated in contracts or relevant documents, the exempted period will not be combined or extended beyond the free-storage period agreed between Hai Phong Port and shipping lines, shipping agents and customers.

Hai Phong Port also noted that import-laden containers of customers who do not have contracts with Hai Phong Port are not eligible for free storage.

This is an annual policy of Hai Phong Port to facilitate cargo handling and delivery operations by businesses during holidays.
