A night market, comprising pedestrian and food streets and other activities to develop the nighttime economy around the Central Flower Garden Strip and the Opera House of Hai Phong City will be piloted for two months, from August 28 to October 28, 2026.

Art programs will run from 8 pm to 10:30 pm, with about 18 days of activities planned. They will be divided into three spaces:

At the City Opera House Square, large-scale, high-quality art programs will be presented by the city’s professional art organizations.

In front of the stalls along Tran Hung Dao Street, the City Youth Union will organize youth music and street art programs featuring art clubs, bands and music groups.

In front of the stalls along Quang Trung Street, art clubs and art training centers will perform and interact with audiences. This space will focus on promoting the artistic talents of the community and creating performance opportunities for students and young artists, featuring singing, instrumental music, dancing, ballroom dancing and suitable forms of street art.

As planned, alongside the three art spaces, the Central Flower Garden Strip and Opera House area is expected to accommodate 22 - 30 food and local specialty stalls, as well as areas for experiences, cultural exchanges and product promotion.

At the opening ceremony, scheduled for August 28, the city is expected to organize a “Hai Phong delicacies” showcase featuring specialties such as ruoi (ragworm), crab spring rolls, crab noodle soup and steamed rice rolls.
