Expanding production scale and capacity

Four years after establishing and operating its first factory at Luong Dien - Cam Dien Industrial Park in Cam Giang Commune, SHDC Electronics Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony on July 28, 2026, for its SHDC Electronics Factory at Lai Cach Industrial Park in Viet Hoa Ward.

The project has a total investment of USD 15 million, a total floor area of approximately 22,000 m2, an expected workforce of around 1,000 employees and a designed capacity of 48 million products per year. Once completed, the factory will add production capacity for PCBA electronic circuit boards, electronic devices and OEM/ODM services, creating opportunities for SHDC to approach more customers and international markets.

The economic recovery is reflected not only in new investment projects but also in the production and business performance of existing enterprises. According to a report by Hai Phong Chief Statistician Tang Ba Phuc at the city People’s Committee’s regular July meeting, many industrial production sectors recorded significant growth in the month, including mining and the production of computers, electronics and apparel.

Among 426 enterprises making significant contributions to industrial revenue, 253 recorded growth. Of these, 113 enterprises grew by 20% or more. The growth of this group made a positive contribution to the city’s overall industrial production revenue and performance.

Removing bottlenecks

Under the adjusted 2026 growth scenario, the city’s GRDP needs to grow by approximately 14.81% in the third quarter and 14.2% in the fourth quarter to achieve the year’s target of 13%. Industrial production value in the last six months of the year needs to exceed VND 1.12 quadrillion. In which, enterprises with annual revenue of more than VND 1 trillion account for more than 79% of total industrial production value, highlighting the decisive role of this group in driving growth.

However, production and business activities are expected to continue facing the impact of various factors in the final months of the year. Therefore, alongside attracting new projects, maintaining stable operations and strengthening the capacity of existing enterprises, particularly those making major contributions, is essential to sustaining the growth momentum.

To ensure the growth target, one of the key tasks assigned under Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU of the Municipal Party Committee is for the Party Committee of the Municipal People’s Committee to provide focused leadership and direction and hold regular meetings with businesses, particularly more than 200 large ones that make major contributions to the city’s GRDP and budget revenue. This will help promptly assess their production and business situation, resolve difficulties and obstacles, support the businesses in stabilizing production, expanding investment and implementing new projects, thereby increasing production capacity and contributing to the city’s growth.

At regular meetings, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung asked departments, agencies and localities to take a more proactive approach to supporting businesses. This means not only addressing requests when they arise but also closely monitoring production and business activities to identify difficulties at an early stage. Each mechanism and policy should also be promptly assessed for its impact on business operations so that appropriate solutions can be developed.

As the growth target for the final months of the year remains high, maintaining the stable operations of existing enterprises is no less important than attracting new projects. Removing the right bottlenecks in electricity, labor, infrastructure, procedures and land will enable businesses to make better use of their capacity, expand investment and increase output, thereby strengthening the foundation for Hai Phong’s growth in 2026 and the 2026 – 2030 period.
