Hai Phong ranks 5th in 2026 Economic Census
Hai Phong ranked 5th among Vietnam’s 34 provinces and cities in the 2026 Economic Census.

Le Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee and Head of the city Steering Committee for the 2026 Economic Census, chaired a conference on August 19 to review the implementation of the census.
Kien commended the efforts of localities and agencies for successfully completing the 2026 Economic Census, which has established an important economic database, significantly contributing to a comprehensive picture of Hai Phong’s economy during the transition period following administrative merger.

The census results will serve as an important basis for the city to assess its potential and advantages, identify new growth drivers, and improve the quality of State management in the coming time.
The vice chairman called on all levels of authorities and sectors to build on the achievements made so far and promptly complete the remaining tasks of the census, contributing to the development of a modern, accurate statistical data system that will effectively support the country’s rapid and sustainable development.

Hai Phong ranked fifth among the country’s 34 provinces and cities in the 2026 Economic Census. The city also ranked fifth nationwide in the number of enterprises and seventh in the number of individual production and business establishments.
