Hai Phong to see highs of 36°C with high tides raising flood risk
High tides are forecast to cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and on some riverside roads in Hai Phong, while temperatures may reach 36°C on August 12.

According to the Hai Phong Hydro-Meteorological Station, most areas across the city will experience hot and sunny weather on August 12, with highs commonly ranging from 35 to 36°C.
Meanwhile, high tides will continue, potentially causing flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and on some roads near rivers.
The highest water levels caused by high tides are forecast to occur between 6 pm and 8 pm on August 12.
High tides may affect traffic, agricultural activities, aquaculture and some socio-economic activities along rivers. The maximum inundation depth is forecast at around 0.2 - 0.5 m. The high-tide period is predicted to continue through August 13.
The meteorological agency has warned of Level 1 natural disaster risk from floods and inundation, advising caution against flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and on some roads near rivers.
