Hai Phong sets 12% registration fee for cars from Aug 8

The Hai Phong People’s Council’s resolution on a 12% registration fee for cars across the city is about to take effect.

From August 8, Resolution No. 14/2026/NQ-HĐND of the Hai Phong People’s Council, stipulating the first-time registration fee for cars with up to nine seats in the city, will take effect.

Accordingly, the first-time registration fee for cars with up to nine seats, including pickup trucks, will be set at 12% across Hai Phong.

The 12% rate is also applied in several neighboring localities, including Ha Noi and Quang Ninh. It also serves as a market-regulation tool, encouraging the development of public transportation services and smart mobility solutions.
