Hai Phong welcomes US businesses to cooperate and invest in the city
Hai Phong always welcomes and is committed to supporting US businesses and investors in advancing cooperation and implementing projects in the city.
Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, on August 6 afternoon received a delegation of US businesses and investors led by Graham Barker, Deputy Economic Counselor and Head of the Trade and Investment Section at the US Embassy in Vietnam, and Patrick Sweeney, founder of American Kestrel Global Strategies Group. The delegation visited Hai Phong to learn about the city's potential, strengths and investment incentive policies.
Speaking at the meeting, Trung highlighted several sectors with potential for future cooperation and investment by the US businesses, including artificial intelligence, high-tech industries, logistics, green energy development, international trade, finance and shipbuilding.
The city pledged to stand alongside the US businesses and investors throughout their exploration of partnership and investment opportunities, supporting them in operating effectively so they can achieve their business goals while delivering tangible benefits to the city and its residents, in line with the principle that “the success of businesses is also the success of Hai Phong.”
Patrick Sweeney expressed his pleasure at visiting Hai Phong to learn more about the city's potential, competitive advantages, and investment incentive policies. He said the delegation hoped the working visit would pave the way for many cooperation opportunities in the future.
During the meeting, members of the US business delegation introduced their companies, shared their strengths, and expressed their readiness to cooperate in providing products and services in areas including liquefied gas, green energy development, advanced materials, and telecommunications, which would help further strengthen the economic, trade, and investment partnership between Viet Nam and the US, as well as with Hai Phong.
