After eight months of construction, progress on all three interchanges remains on track, with the main works targeted for completion before the 2027 Lunar New Year.

At the Nguyen Trai – Le Hong Phong interchange, where the contractor consortium of Thang Long Corporation JSC and No. 18 Investment and Construction JSC is carrying out construction, surface drainage systems on Nguyen Trai, Le Lai, and Da Nang streets had been completed by the end of July, while work continues on Le Hong Phong Street.
Hoang Xuan Dai, deputy site manager, said the consortium will mobilize maximum manpower and equipment in August to accelerate the construction of the tunnel's main structural components.
A detailed weekly and monthly construction schedule has been established, with the goal of completing the project's key components and opening the interchange to traffic before the 2027 Lunar New Year, making travel more convenient for residents.
The Le Hong Phong – Bui Vien interchange project has a total investment of more than VND 785.9 billion, including VND 518.1 billion for construction.
Vu Van Dung, Deputy Project Director of Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction JSC, said the construction contract sets completion for June 2027. However, the Hai Phong Transport Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project's investor, has requested that the main works be completed and the underpass opened before the 2027 Lunar New Year.

To meet this target, the contractor has revised its construction schedule, increased machinery and equipment, particularly high-capacity pumps to remove water from the tunnel excavation area during heavy rainfall, and expanded construction teams while maintaining round-the-clock operations with three shifts and four work crews.
Among the three projects, the Bui Vien – Vo Nguyen Giap interchange has achieved the highest level of progress, with approximately 30% of the planned workload completed. The contractor consortium of CK4 Group JSC and HJC Group Investment and Construction JSC has finished ground improvement works and is now pouring concrete for both the cut-and-cover and enclosed tunnel sections. The consortium is also aiming to open the interchange before the 2027 Lunar New Year.
The Hai Phong Transport Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board has recently proposed that the city People's Committee approve a policy on managing, coordinating, and reusing excavated and surplus materials generated during construction, which has limited construction output and could directly affect the disbursement of public investment funds allocated by the city for these projects.
