Hai Phong's strategy to promote the nighttime economy, together with its expanding range of tourism services, is creating new visitor experiences that make a 24-hour trip both enjoyable and memorable. Following the city's administrative expansion, travelers can now plan a well-balanced one-day itinerary that combines heritage attractions with modern urban experiences.
In the western part of the city, Con Son–Kiep Bac special national relic site is a must-visit destination. According to Tran Van Huong, Director of Vietnam Express Tour Hai Phong Company in Le Chan Ward, visitors to Con Son can hike Ky Lan mountain and visit Ban Co Tien peak. At Kiep Bac, they can also enjoy the majestic scenery of Rong mountain and Kiep Bac temple overlooking the Thuong river.
Also in western Hai Phong, Chu Dau pottery village in Thai Tan Commune offers visitors an opportunity to explore the sophisticated craftsmanship of traditional ceramics. Nature lovers can head to Dao Co in Nam Thanh Mien Commune, a 31-hectare wetland that is home to around 12,000 storks and more than 5,000 night herons.
In the eastern part of the city, visitors can experience the dynamic atmosphere of modern Hai Phong. Many travel companies now offer one-day tours featuring the city's distinctive attractions. Tourists can stroll through the city center to admire French colonial architecture, including the Lon Theater and Hai Phong Railway Station.

To meet a wide range of accommodation needs, Hai Phong has continued to improve and expand its infrastructure following the administrative merger. The city now offers hundreds of upscale hotels, along with budget hotels and guesthouses catering to different travel budgets.
To help visitors make the most of a short stay, the tourism sector recommends itineraries that combine daytime sightseeing with evening activities. One of the highlights is Hai Phong's renowned street food culture.
For many visitors, a one-day food tour is the best way to discover the flavors of the port city. Signature dishes include banh da cua (crab noodle soup), spicy fish noodle soup, spicy banh my with pâté dipped in spicy sauce, and a wide variety of fresh shellfish.

Nguyen Thi Ha, General Director of Hai Ha Travel and International Communications JSC (Hai Ha Travel), said that one-day Hai Phong tours have become much more convenient thanks to improved transportation links between the western and eastern parts of the city.
To meet growing demand, the city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is implementing a range of tourism promotion programs based on sustainable development, maximizing the city's heritage assets, culinary strengths, and nighttime economy through public-private partnerships.
