Located next to the renowned Dao Co (Stork Island) ecotourism site in Nam Thanh Mien Commune, Hai Phong, Phong Co Farm has become an attractive destination for visitors seeking hands-on experiences in sustainable agriculture.
Covering more than 1.4 hectares, Phong Co Farm features a well-planned agricultural eco-model, including over 6,000 m2 of greenhouses cultivating seasonal melons and tomatoes. The site also includes fruit orchards, flower gardens and relaxation areas, offering visitors the tranquil charm of a pure farming village.Developed by Vu Van Phong, a resident of Trieu Duong Hamlet, the farm embraces the growing trend of escaping urban life to reconnect with nature through rural tourism.Instead of concrete structures, visitors are welcomed by lush greenery, fresh air and a peaceful natural setting from the moment they arrive at Phong Co Farm. One of the farm's highlights is its year-round program of hands-on farming experiences. Its greenhouses apply high-tech cultivation methods to grow muskmelons, sweet oriental melons and crisp cucumbers, ensuring both high quality and productivity.A frequent visitor to Phong Co Farm, Truong Thi Nhan (right), from Thanh Mien Commune, said: "The atmosphere here is incredibly cool and refreshing. The farm offers a wide range of experiences, from melon fields and lotus ponds to playgrounds for children. Families can relax while the kids enjoy themselves in a safe environment."Visitors come not only to admire the scenery but also to touch, experience and enjoy fresh produce harvested directly from the farm. The farm’s well-planned agricultural infrastructure, combined with its natural surroundings, has attracted a steadily growing number of visitors, demonstrating the success of integrating sustainable agriculture with tourism services.Located adjacent to Dao Co (Stork Island) ecotourism site, Phong Co Farm also benefits from a steady flow of tourists visiting the area.Looking ahead, Vu Van Phong plans to expand the farm to improve service quality. "We hope to further develop this agricultural eco-model to offer visitors even more memorable experiences. In particular, we plan to introduce accommodation service," said Phong.
