Over USD 1.36 million in foreign non‑governmental aid mobilized
In the first half of this year, the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations mobilized more than USD 1.36 million in foreign non‑governmental aid, contributing to expanded cooperation and development.

On the morning of July 17, the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations held a mid‑year review meeting to evaluate the first six months and deploy tasks for the last months of the year.
At the meeting, delegates agreed that one year after the merger, the Union has rapidly stabilized its structure and effectively played its role in people‑to‑people diplomacy, launching a range of vigorous and comprehensive activities across fields. Delegates proposed further improving the effectiveness of members’ operations, and developing membership at branch levels to raise overall activity quality going forward.
For the second half of 2026, the Union will focus on implementing seven key groups of tasks and solutions.
These include continuing to disseminate and effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on people‑to‑people diplomacy; innovating and diversifying the content and formats of peace, solidarity, friendship, development cooperation; stepping up mobilization of foreign non‑governmental organizations aligned with political and diplomatic objectives; gradually improving the quality of external information work; intensifying engagement with the Vietnamese community abroad; strengthening the Union’s organizational structure and its member organizations; and accelerating digital transformation, as well as emulation and commendation activities.
