Hai Phong ranks second nationwide in activating electronic Health Book on VNeID
By the end of June 2026, Hai Phong had 2,546,442 people activating e-Health Book on the VNeID app, equivalent to 57% of the population.
According to the Hai Phong Department of Health, all administrative procedures under the department’s authority are now conducted electronically, with 100% of dossiers processed on time or ahead of schedule.
Hai Phong continues to be among the leading localities nationwide in digital transformation in the health sector. As of the end of June 2026, the city recorded 2,546,442 activations of the electronic Health Book on VNeID app, representing 57% of its population and ranking second nationwide.
Meanwhile, 100% of health facilities providing services under health insurance have adopted chip-based citizen ID and the VNeID app for patient care.
Digital transformation at medical facilities has been accelerated. The citywide implementation rate for e-medical records reached 92.3%, corresponding to 60 out of 66 units, with all public healthcare units fully onboard. The health sector also successfully integrated 27,852 electronic referral notes and 151,864 electronic follow-up appointment slips into the Health Insurance Assessment Portal and VNeID app, contributing to a more complete digital health ecosystem and facilitating patients’ access to medical examination and treatment.
The results achieved in the first six months reaffirm the effectiveness of administrative reform and digital transformation in Hai Phong’s health sector, helping to improve healthcare service quality and move toward a modern, smart health system that better serves the public health./.
