After merging with Hai Duong, Hai Phong’s development space has expanded in both scale and capacity, bringing together economic strength and cultural identity and gradually affirming its role as one of the country’s key growth poles.The city now boasts one of the largest industrial bases in the country, with 46 industrial parks, three economic zones and one free trade zone.The system of public administrative service centers at all levels continues to intensify the use of information technology in management, operations and service delivery, with the goal of serving residents and businesses better.The city’s 114 communes, wards and special zones, along with departments and agencies, have received attention and investment in facilities and human resources, helping to steadily improve and enhance operational quality.In the first six months of 2026, Hai Phong’s socio-economic performance posted many positive results; GRDP grew by 11.33 percent, leading the seven centrally-run cities, ranking third nationwide.With a spirit of solidarity, determination and ambition, the city’s Party organization, authorities, armed forces and people are striving to achieve the set goals and realize the aspiration of building a modern, civilized, ecological and livable port city.
