Hai Phong’s domestic budget revenue reaches more than VND 60,155 billion
In the first half of 2026, domestic budget revenue in Hai Phong reached VND 60,155 billion, equivalent to 58.3% of the annual allocation and up 3% from the same period last year.

The city tax authority held a mid‑year review on the afternoon of July 6 to assess tax collection for the first six months and implement tasks for the last months of 2026.
Despite persistent difficulties, Hai Phong Tax Department implemented coordinated collection measures and achieved VND 60,155 billion in local revenues, equivalent to 58.3% of the state‑assigned estimate and 103% of collections for the same period in 2025.
The tax authority accelerated administrative reform and digital transformation, expanded taxpayer outreach through multiple channels, and strengthened controls on invoice risk, revenue leakage, tax refund checks and debt recovery.
At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung acknowledged and praised the tax sector’s achievements, saying the tax authority made an important contribution to Hai Phong’s socio‑economic results in the first half of 2026. He highlighted that total state budget revenue collected locally reached nearly VND 116,000 billion, or 60% of the assigned target.
To meet revenue targets for 2026 amid uncertain developments in the second half, the city’s chairman instructed Hai Phong Tax to follow central and municipal guidance, improve forecasting quality, and carry out deeper analysis by tax type, locality and taxpayer group.

He stressed that digitalization and modern technology must be the main drivers of administrative reform to streamline procedures, optimize operations, improve labor productivity and reduce burdens on residents, businesses and tax officials. The city will facilitate and support the tax authority in piloting and adopting new technological solutions.
