Hai Phong surpasses social housing target
In Q2 2026, Hai Phong completed 864 social housing units, exceeding the quarter’s target by 395 units.
According to the Department of Construction, Hai Phong completed 864 social housing units in the second quarter of 2026, surpassing the quarter’s development scenario by 395 units. This result raised the number of social housing units completed in the first half of the year to 1,383 units, nearly 400 units above the six-month target.
The Department said this result was mainly due to several social housing projects accelerating construction, which significantly increased the number of units completed during the quarter. At the same time, proactive coordination to remove difficulties and obstacles during project implementation enabled investors to concentrate resources on construction and ensure progress.
To meet the annual target of more than 7,000 social housing units in 2026, the Department of Construction will continue urging investors to mobilize labor and equipment and speed up ongoing projects; it will also work with relevant departments and local authorities to promptly resolve issues related to investment procedures, site clearance and other conditions, striving to achieve the city’s social housing development goal for 2026.
