Data synchronization helps renew coordination methods among agencies, units and localities across the city.

At a recent working session with the Department of Science and Technology reviewing tasks for the first half of 2026 and priorities for science, innovation and digital transformation, Hai Phong’s chairman emphasized focus on effectively implementing the city’s data strategy. He also urged acceleration of Plan No. 145 dated 22/4/2026 by the city People’s Committee to complete the shared and sectoral databases in 2026.

The city will review and upgrade the shared data repository toward a centralized, unified system that ensures connectivity, data sharing and effective use. Efforts will concentrate on improving operations at the Intelligent Operations Centre (IOC); from July 2026, the city government’s reports and meetings should be able to draw data directly from the IOC.

For Hai Phong, achieving fast and sustainable development requires not only investment and coordinated infrastructure but also a smart, flexible governance platform based on data. When departments and local authorities use a single standardized data source, city leaders can monitor socio‑economic development, track progress on priority tasks, oversee public investment disbursement and revenue collection, and address local issues more closely.

Agencies are also expected to cooperate in building data‑driven indicators and operational scenarios suited to their mandates. Effective data use will not only raise the quality of management and governance but also provide a basis for forecasting trends, shaping policy and deploying the city’s resources efficiently.
