In preparation for the mid-year council meeting, the Hai Phong People's Committee has drafted a proposal on naming roads, streets and public works across the city for submission to the council. The draft has also been published to allow voters to review and provide feedback during pre-session meetings with City People's Council deputies.

According to the draft, Hai Phong has completed and put into operation a number of transport infrastructure projects and public facilities connecting localities in recent years. However, many of these roads and public works have yet to be officially named, hindering administrative management and making it more difficult for residents to travel and conduct transactions.. The city therefore considers the naming of roads, streets and public works necessary.

The proposal includes names for 33 roads. In An Hai Ward, five roads would be named Hoang Cong Than, An Dong, Bui Thi Thuc, Dong Thai and Do Minh. Six roads in An Phong Ward would be named Nguyen Cong Vang, An Phong, Le Thien, Pham Tung, Tinh Thuy and An Hoa. Two roads in Bach Dang Ward would be named Bang Lu and Trang Kenh, while one road in Chu Van An Ward would be named Kiet Thuong.

The city also proposes naming 65 streets, including 20 in An Hai Ward, seven in An Phong Ward, two in Bach Dang Ward, two in Chu Van An Ward, one in Do Son Ward and six in Hong An Ward.

The proposal also covers three public gardens: Ha Doan Garden in Dong Hai Ward, Xam Bo Garden in Dong Hai Ward and Hai Thanh Garden in Duong Kinh Ward.
