This is the sixth consecutive edition of the art exchange exhibition since 2021, marking a significant milestone in the enduring partnership between the artistic communities of the two cities. It is also the third time the event has been hosted in Hai Phong.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hai Phong Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Hai Phong Fine Arts Association. Also present were leaders of the Gwangju Branch of the Korea Professional Artists Association, along with prominent painters and sculptors from both localities, as well as a large number of artists and art enthusiasts.

The exhibition features more than 120 works of painting, graphic art, and sculpture by artists and sculptors from Hai Phong and Gwangju. The exhibited works highlight the artists' creativity and exploration in contemporary art, while also showcasing the distinctive cultures, landscapes, and people of Vietnam and South Korea through a wide variety of media, visual languages, and artistic styles.

The exhibition provides a meeting place for multiple generations of artists, ranging from established figures with many years of artistic practice to emerging talents who are making their mark with distinctive creative voices. Through the works on display, visitors have the opportunity to experience fresh artistic perspectives while gaining a deeper appreciation of both the shared cultural values and the unique characteristics of the cultural life of Vietnam and South Korea.

In addition to the exhibition itself, the event provides an opportunity for artists from Hai Phong and Gwangju to exchange professional expertise, share creative experiences, and explore future collaboration. The program contributes to strengthening people-to-people cultural diplomacy, deepening the friendship between Vietnam and South Korea, as well as reinforcing the longstanding ties between the two cities of Hai Phong and Gwangju.

The exhibition is open to the public from June 25 to July 1, 2026, at the Hai Phong Exhibition and Fine Arts Center, located at No. 1 Nguyen Duc Canh Street.
