Standing Committee of Hai Phong Party Committee reviews development plans
The Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee reviewed and provided feedback on several plans related to culture, tourism, sports development and urban planning adjustments at a meeting on June 24.
The meeting was chaired by Le Ngoc Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and head of the city's National Assembly delegation.
The meeting was attended by Do Manh Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee; Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee; Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Council; members of the Party Committee's Standing Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
Participants reviewed and discussed a plan to develop Hai Phong into a "City of Music" during 2026-2030 with a vision to 2045; a master tourism development plan through 2030 with a vision to 2045; a sports development plan through 2030 with a vision to 2045; a football development plan through 2030 with a vision to 2045; and adjustments to the master plan of former Hai Duong City through 2040 covering wards in the western part of the city.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau said the plans were important in implementing central and local policies and resolutions in the fields of culture, education and sports.
He said the plans would help improve residents' cultural and physical well-being while creating momentum for the city's development in the years ahead.
He acknowledged agencies for their proactive efforts in developing the plans and called on them to continue refining the documents and outlining clear implementation measures.
