The National Press Festival 2026, held for the first time in Hai Phong, is a major festival for journalists nationwide and a platform that spreads the cultural and historical values and development aspirations of Vietnam’s revolutionary press in the new era.

Impressive press spaces

Coming here, visitors immediately sense the lively atmosphere of the country’s largest press event in the impressive booths, each reflecting the distinct character of participating newsrooms, localities and organizations. Many central press agencies presented contemporary spaces alive with the spirit of the digital transition. Alongside traditional print publications, numerous units showcased multimedia journalism products: podcasts, videos, infographics, data journalism and artificial intelligence applications in content production. Interactive screens and visual presentation systems brought the public closer to modern newsroom workflows.

Particularly noteworthy is Hai Phong’s pavilion, themed 'Hai Phong — Convergence and Radiance', which has become one of this year’s exhibition highlights. The space is designed as a journey through the newly unified city, from historical and cultural depth to ambitions of rising as a national growth pole. Images of female General Le Chan, the Mao Dien Temple, the K15 wharf, Con Son-Kiep Bac relic site, Cat Ba archipelago are linked through modern projection technology, leaving a strong impression on visitors.

A panoramic picture of the press in the new era

Not only introducing outstanding journalistic works, the exhibition layout at the National Press fetival 2026 paints a panoramic picture of the development of Vietnam’s revolutionary press in new period. With 87 booths from 66 press agencies and journalists’ associations nationwide, this year’s event vividly reflects a Vietnamese journalism that is rapidly evolving alongside national renewal, digital transformation and organizational streamlining towards greater efficiency.

A standout feature is the outdoor themed area “Journalism and the current Vietnamese Culture”, organized by the Vietnam Press Museum. Stretching nearly 150 metres, the display presents some 1,000 carefully selected photographs, documents, articles, front pages and propaganda posters, retracing more than a century of the press’s partnership with the nation.

Through these displays, the 101-year journey of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press is clearly visible, continued today with a spirit of innovation, creativity and the aspiration to serve the country and its people in this new era of development.
