Hai Phong Journalists Association commemorates the 101st Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day

On the afternoon of June 12, the Hai Phong Journalists Association held a gathering for its members to celebrate the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026).

At the gathering, generations of journalists from Hai Phong reflected on the proud traditions and the 101-year journey of development and growth of Vietnam’s revolutionary press.

Alongside the overall development of the national press sector, Hai Phong’s media organizations have made significant progress in many areas, from modernizing their appearance and improving the quality of journalistic works to expanding a growing team of media professionals with strong expertise and professional skills.

In recent years, the Hai Phong Journalists Association has successfully fulfilled its assigned responsibilities, effectively performing its role as a socio-political and professional organization representing journalists.

Media organizations across the city have played an important role in communicating the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s laws and regulations, and the city’s key political tasks. At the same time, they have promptly reflected the concerns and aspirations of the public and proposed practical solutions to various social issues, thereby contributing to the city’s development and progress.

In addition, the Hai Phong Journalists Association and its affiliated chapters have consistently focused on membership development and organizational growth. They have also effectively organized a wide range of professional activities, training programs, and networking events aimed at enhancing members’ skills, expertise, and professional development.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded the “For the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism” Commemorative Medal to 22 outstanding individuals in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s press and media sector. The association also presented membership cards to newly admitted members of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
