Thunderstorms forecast in Hai Phong, temperatures to reach 35°C
Thunderstorms are forecast in Hai Phong, with daytime highs reaching 35 degrees Celsius.

According to the Hai Phong Hydro-Meteorological Station, showers and thunderstorms were forecast on the morning of June 12 for several communes and wards in the western and northwestern parts of the city.
Areas likely to be affected include communes and wards in the northern and southern parts of the former Hai Duong province, including Thanh Mien, Bac Thanh Mien, Hai Hung, Nguyen Luong Bang, Cam Giang, Ke Sat, Binh Giang, Gia Loc, Ninh Giang, Thanh Ha, Chi Linh and Hai Duong.
Meteorologists warned that thunderstorms could be accompanied by whirlwinds, lightning and strong wind gusts.
Skies are forecast to remain mostly cloudy across Hai Phong in the morning and at night on June 12, with no rain expected. Inland highs are forecast at 33-34 degrees Celsius and lows at 26-27 degrees.
In the city's administrative center, temperatures are forecast to range from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius. Highs in the northwestern and southwestern areas are expected to reach 33 degrees and 34 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In coastal areas, including the Cat Hai and Do Son special zones, dry weather is forecast, with sunny conditions during the afternoon.
Over the Gulf of Tonkin and the Bach Long Vi special zone, isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast. Daytime highs are forecast to reach around 35 degrees Celsius.
Residents are advised to stay updated on thunderstorm, whirlwind and lightning warnings issued by meteorological authorities and take precautions, particularly when travelling or working outdoors.
