Hai Phong pledges support to business community
Hai Phong city leaders pledged support to the business community around five key initiatives at the Vietnam Private Sector Forum (VPSF) local dialogue 2026.
The local dialogue, held June 9 and organized by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in coordination with the Hai Phong Young Entrepreneurs Association, is a flagship policy conversation designed to create a substantive exchange between businesses and regulators and to promote the private sector as a driving force of the national economy.
At the event, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Tran Van Quan praised the forum organizers and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to help businesses by focusing on five priorities: accelerating administrative reform; removing business obstacles; developing strategic infrastructure; supporting digital and green transition; and promptly addressing businesses’ petitions.
Hai Phong aims to become a maritime economic and modern logistics hub with 87,000 enterprises by 2030. The forum underscored the leading role of Hai Phong’s young business community in driving innovation and regional economic development. Proposals raised at the dialogue will be compiled and forwarded to competent authorities to improve the investment climate and give new momentum to Vietnam’s private sector.
