Several localities along the route have already handed over boundary markers for land clearance to serve the railway construction project.

In early June 2026, together with other communes on the route, Tan Ky Commune is working closely with relevant agencies to install boundary markers and hand over site clearance markers for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway construction project.

According to the commune's People's Committee, the project will require the acquisition of about 18.6 hectares of land in the locality, including 11.2 hectares of agricultural land and 0.8 hectares of residential land, with the remainder comprising transport and irrigation land.

To meet the project schedule, the city is mobilizing significant resources for site clearance.

According to the Department of Construction, Hai Phong had completed key preparatory steps for site clearance by the end of May 2026. The city has approved 39 component projects covering compensation, support, resettlement and technical infrastructure relocation, with total investment exceeding 11 trillion VND.

To date, 12 of the 23 communes, wards and special administrative zones along the route have completed inventories of land-related assets. The remaining localities are continuing the process to ensure overall project progress, helping Hai Phong further strengthen its role as a logistics hub and international trade gateway in northern Vietnam.
