Cold air brings rain, cooler weather to Hai Phong
According to the Hai Phong Hydro - meteorological Station, an intensified cold air mass has spread across the city, ending the hot weather in recent days.
Under the influence of the cold air, Hai Phong is expected to see cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms on June 9, with some areas likely to experience moderate to heavy rain. Cloud cover is forecast to decrease by midday and afternoon, allowing sunny spells to emerge.
Temperatures are expected to range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, lower than in previous days.
Onshore winds will shift to the northeast at force 2-3, strengthening to force 3-4 in coastal areas including Do Son and Cat Hai. In the Gulf of Tonkin, including the Bach Long Vi special zone, northeast winds are forecast at force 4-5, with gusts reaching force 6-7. Waves are expected to reach 1-1.5 meters, with slight seas.
The lowest temperatures during this cold-air spell are forecast to range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.
