Hai Phong aims to have about 20 firms in Vietnam’s Top 500 private enterprises.

The Hai Phong People’s Committee has just issued Plan No. 19 to implement Resolution No. 41 of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era.
Under the plan, by 2030 the city seeks to develop an entrepreneurial community with full scale and capability to meet the demands of industrialization, modernization and international integration; more than 85% of entrepreneurs will hold college or university qualifications; and the city will have about 87,000 active enterprises.
The private sector is targeted to have 18–20 firms among Vietnam’s Top 500 private enterprises, including at least two firms within the Top 100. The city also aims for at least two firms to gain National Brand recognition and for the emergence of large, competitive companies operating at regional and international levels.
With a vision to 2045, Hai Phong aims to build an entrepreneurial community with national and international standing and reputation; a group of globally branded enterprises that lead supply chains and value chains.
To achieve these goals, Hai Phong People’s Committee has assigned departments, agencies and localities to implement 34 coordinated tasks to ensure the robust development of the city’s entrepreneurial force to meet new-era requirements.
