Hai Phong export turnover hits growth target
Hai Phong's export turnover hit growth targets in the first five months of 2026, reaching an estimated $21.29 billion, up 8.18% year-on-year.
According to the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade, the city's export turnover in May was estimated at $4.1 billion, in line with the planned growth scenario.
In the first five months of the year, total export turnover was estimated at $21.29 billion, up 8.18% year-on-year and equivalent to 40.94% of the 2026 annual target. Major export markets included South Korea, Japan and the European Union (EU).
Hai Phong's import turnover in May was estimated at $3.3 billion, also meeting the planned growth scenario.
For the January-May period, total import turnover was estimated at $17.49 billion, up 14.01% from a year earlier and accounting for 42.05% of the city's 2026 target.
