Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong expressed his pleasure at meeting General Secretary and State President To Lam again and highly praised the Vietnamese leader’s keynote remarks at the Shangri-La Dialogue, noting that they demonstrated vision and a strong sense of responsibility toward regional issues while contributing new perspectives on crisis governance.

General Secretary and State President To Lam congratulated Singapore on its remarkable development achievements, highlighting its continued position as a leading regional and global hub for finance, technology, and innovation, as well as its ability to adapt effectively to changes in the international environment.

General Secretary and State President To Lam expressed his deep appreciation and recognition of the invaluable contributions made by the late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and Senior Minister, Senior Advisor, and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to the development and strengthening of the friendship and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Singapore over the past decades. Their efforts, he noted, have helped make Vietnam–Singapore relations one of ASEAN’s most dynamic and effective models of cooperation.

Welcoming the positive, substantive, and effective progress achieved across all areas of cooperation during the first year of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Singapore, General Secretary and State President To Lam and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong exchanged views on directions for further deepening bilateral relations in the next stage of development.

General Secretary and State President To Lam proposed that Singapore continue supporting Vietnam in areas such as official training, administrative reform, enhancing the effectiveness of state institutions, and sharing experience in developing policies and regulatory frameworks for emerging sectors.

Former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong welcomed the establishment of the Strategic Dialogue mechanism between the People's Action Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam, affirming that, in his capacity as Senior Advisor to the People's Action Party, he would continue to support stronger cooperation between the two parties and promote the implementation of key bilateral cooperation programs.

General Secretary and State President To Lam and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong agreed that, amid increasingly complex global developments, Vietnam and Singapore should further strengthen strategic coordination and close cooperation for the development of both countries and for peace, stability, and cooperation in Southeast Asia.
