Many fuel stations and blending facilities across the city have started selling E10 gasoline several days ahead of schedule.

A delegation from the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade inspects the upgrade of technical infrastructure for E10 gasoline production at Dinh Vu Petroleum Depot – PVOIL Dinh Vu.

On the afternoon of May 27, a delegation from the Department of Industry and Trade conducted field inspections at petroleum wholesalers and retail fuel stations regarding the implementation of E10 biofuel business operations across the city.

The delegation directly surveyed and worked with Hai An Petrol Station (Bach Dang Petroleum Joint Stock Company); Dinh Vu Petroleum Depot – PVOIL Dinh Vu (Vietnam Oil Corporation – PVOIL); and Dam Ba Tai Petrol Station (Ngan Ha Oil Trading Transport Joint Stock Company).

The quality of E10 gasoline is strictly monitored and controlled in compliance with regulations before being supplied to the market.

At present, businesses have basically completed the necessary conditions for trading E10 biofuel gasoline and have already started selling E10 several days ahead of schedule.

At Dinh Vu Petroleum Depot – PVOIL Dinh Vu, one of the four facilities responsible for blending fuel to produce E10 gasoline, the company completed investment in equipment upgrades and officially switched to supplying E10 fuel to the market from May 15.

Since May 15, 100% of PVOIL fuel stations in Hai Phong and nationwide have simultaneously begun selling E10 RON95-III gasoline. The company has also developed plans to ensure a stable fuel supply for the market.

Many fuel stations and petroleum depots across the city completed the transition to E10 gasoline trading ahead of the deadline set by the Government.

Through the inspections, the delegation from the Department of Industry and Trade acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and responsible efforts of blending facilities, fuel wholesalers, and retail stations in investing in and upgrading technical infrastructure, storage tanks, and specialized fuel pumps to support E10 gasoline trading.

Businesses have proactively introduced E10 gasoline to the market earlier than required, ensuring stable supply and helping consumers gradually become familiar with the new fuel type.

The delegation requested fuel distributors to ensure stable supply sources and standardized blending processes in accordance with announced technical standards, preventing fuel shortages or supply disruptions.

Fuel retailers were also urged to strengthen training and knowledge updates for staff working directly at fuel pumps so they can effectively communicate, explain, and advise customers on the economic and environmental benefits of E10 gasoline, thereby building public consensus during the transition process.

Starting from June 1, the Market Surveillance force will coordinate with relevant agencies to intensify monitoring and inspections at retail fuel stations, and strictly handle violations such as selling incorrect fuel types, hoarding fuel to create artificial shortages, or violating regulations on fuel prices and quality.
