Do Son prepares for scientific seminar ‘Maritime culture in Hung Kings era’
The scientific seminar ‘Maritime Culture in the Hung Kings Era’ is scheduled to take place in June 2026 in Do Son ward, Hai Phong City.
During the death anniversary of Hung Kings, Do Son ward attracted 210,000 visitors, highlighted by the grand memorial ceremony held at the Temple of Vietnamese National Heroes (Quoc To Vong Tu) and Tuong Long Pagoda's tower.

The Do Son Ward People's Committee is actively coordinating with the Institute of Ethnology and Religious Studies (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) to prepare the scientific seminar Maritime Culture in the Hung Kings Era’ in Do Son ward, Hai Phong City.
According to the plan, the seminar will bring together 16 leading scholars and experts nationwide in the fields of history, culture, archaeology, Han-Nom studies, maritime research, and Buddhism.
The seminar will focus on clarifying the role of maritime culture in the Hung Kings era; the symbolic value of the Lac Long Quan - Au Co figure in the nation-building process; the historical, archaeological, and spiritual values of Tuong Long Pagoda; measures to conserve and promote Do Son's maritime cultural resources in the new development phase.
