Hai Phong Tax Department launches tax code cleansing campaign
The Hai Phong Tax Department has launched a tax code cleansing campaign aimed at standardizing data and supporting taxpayers.

The campaign also aims to strengthen control over newly arising registration records, reduce delays in processing dissolution and business termination procedures, contribute to removing obstacles for investment, production, and business activities, and prevent the abuse of legal entities for violations related to taxation, invoices, and finance.
The campaign focuses on taxpayers who have stopped operating but have not completed tax code termination procedures; taxpayers no longer operating at their registered addresses; and cases in which personal information has been impersonated or misused to establish businesses or household enterprises that do not serve actual production or business activities.
The Hai Phong Tax Department recommends that taxpayers proactively review and update their tax registration information, operational status, and use of electronic invoices; fully complete procedures to terminate tax code validity when ceasing business operations; and promptly report to tax authorities or relevant agencies if they discover their personal information has been fraudulently used.
Taxpayers are also advised to properly declare and pay taxes and use electronic invoices in accordance with regulations to avoid risks such as being classified as “not operating at the registered address,” administrative penalties, disruptions to production and business activities, or misuse of personal information for illegal purposes.
