More than 1,300 expanded Tan Phu Hung social housing units have been put on sale, with areas ranging from 43.1 to 74.6 square meters per unit.

To fundamentally address the challenge of labor, especially high-quality human resources in the upcoming period, at a recent meeting with Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee and Chairman of the city People's Committee Do Thanh Trung, leaders of Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA) proposed the city leadership to soon establish and define the operating mechanism of housing fund for workers in industrial parks.

In recent years, the city has actively promoted social housing and worker housing projects linked to industrial parks. Typical social housing projects include Trang Due, Tan Truong, Cam Giang, Thuy Nguyen, Dong Hai, and Trang Cat. In addition, there are dormitory projects for industrial workers. These projects have helped provide tens of thousands of accommodation places for workers and employees in need.

Besides, developing social housing and worker dormitories for rent will open housing opportunities for workers and become a solution that helps promote harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations while ensuring social welfare. Developing rental social housing requires integrating housing with social infrastructure in the planning of new industrial parks. Specifically, there should be firm regulations on allocating land for worker housing and kindergartens within or adjacent to industrial parks, covering at least 5–10% of the industrial park's area. There should also be incentive mechanisms encouraging FDI enterprises to self-invest in housing and kindergartens. Alternatively, companies in industrial parks and economic zones could be allowed to buy social housing to sell or let their workers rent or purchase, ensuring accommodation needs are met.

This is considered a decisive factor in attracting out-of-province labor, especially high-quality workers, to come and work in Hai Phong. This policy will provide a foundation to increase the appeal of industrial parks and economic zones and support the city's sustainable development.
