Thanh Ha commune develops ecotourism
Each lychee season, Thanh Ha commune welcomes tens of thousands of visitors who come to experience the orchard and taste lychees.

Welcoming visitors to the lychee harvest season.
From the start of the harvest, the Dong Man Ecotourism Area operated by the Dong Man Ecotourism Cooperative in An Lao hamlet becomes busy with visitors. On more than 5 hectares planted with lychee, the ecotourism area creates the characteristic scenery of Thanh Ha countryside during the lychee season.
Besides touring lychee orchards, visitors can row boats, taste lotus tea, join folk games, and experience harvesting lychees with local residents. Many families choose Dong Man as a weekend outing so their children can immerse in nature and learn about rural life.
Since 2015, Dong Man has gradually become a familiar attraction during lychee harvest season. On average each year, the ecotourism area receives about 5,000–6,000 visitors from inside and outside the city for tours and experiences.

Increasing lychee value

That many farmers boldly shifting into ecotourism is opening new opportunities for the Thanh Ha lychee region. From traditional lychee gardens, residents are gradually learning how to add value through experiences, services, and promotion of local rural culture.
According to several households, previously income relied mainly on selling fresh fruit and was easily affected by market prices. Now by combining farming with tourism, residents gain additional income from sightseeing services, food and beverage, experience activities, and directly promote the lychee brand to visitors.
Thanh Ha commune facilitates households and cooperatives to invest in landscaping, build green and environmentally friendly tourism models, and step up digital promotion to attract visitors and connect with travel companies. Local participation in tourism not only raises incomes but also helps promote Thanh Ha lychees to domestic and international visitors.
