Hai Phong aims to become a city of music
A series of artistic events during the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2026 has opened the initial chapter in the plan to become a city of music.

Kien An emerges as a new music hub
As part of the plan to develop Hai Phong into a city of music, the Hanh Phuc Lake flower garden area in Kien An ward is expected to become the city’s new music rendezvous. Accordingly, from May 10 to 16 Kien An ward organized multiple music performances to celebrate the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2026.
During the programme, artists and singers performed many songs about Hai Phong, expressing pride in the courageous, loyal port city and its aspiration to advance. The lineup also included rock, pop-ballad and jazz numbers, bringing a youthful, vibrant atmosphere and a spirit of connection.
A highlight of the programme was the way audiences joined artists on stage in numerous performances about youth, love, Kien An ward and Hai Phong City. Music became a bridge that brought performers and the public closer together.
This space will offer residents opportunities for recreation, artistic enjoyment and modern, civilized services, while helping shape Kien An’s dynamic and friendly urban with its own distinctive character.

A platform for domestic and international artistic exchange.
A core principle in building Hai Phong as a music city is to harmonize the preservation of traditional values with the development of contemporary arts, while expanding domestic and international exchange and cooperation.
Throughout the peak week of the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2026, the city center became a lively arts space featuring a series of distinctive cultural and street music activities.
The blending of traditional music with modern influences created a chain of cultural scene in the heart of the port city. Street music not only provided an accessible artistic playground for the community but also helped connect generations of audiences and brought traditional arts closer to young people.
During the festival’s event series, the city also welcomed many artists, art troupes and international visitors. Numerous performers highly appreciated the well-planned, professional investment in the programmes and expressed confidence that Hai Phong will become a destination for major musical activities in the near future.
