Hai Phong launches and inaugurates 14 major projects and infrastructure works
The groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony for 14 projects and infrastructure works was held to celebrate major national holidays in April and May, as well as the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026.
On the morning of May 14, Hai Phong held a groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony for 14 projects and infrastructure works to celebrate major national holidays in April and May, as well as the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026.
The program was organized at a main venue along with several satellite venues across the city.
The main venue hosted the inauguration ceremony for the investment, restoration and renovation project of the K15 Wharf historical relic complex in Do Son. The site is closely associated with the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea and holds significant value in educating younger generations about revolutionary traditions, patriotism and the pride of the people and armed forces of the port city.
Alongside the K15 Wharf project, the city also launched and inaugurated a series of key projects in transport infrastructure, industry, social welfare, energy and urban development.
Notable projects include the construction of the Cat Bi Victory Monument at Cat Bi International Airport; infrastructure development projects for the Hoang Dieu Industrial Park, Thuy Nguyen Industrial Park Phase 1, and Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park; the road connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10; and the Van Uc 2 Bridge, part of the Ninh Binh – Hai Phong Expressway, along with several other industrial and social infrastructure projects.
The simultaneous groundbreaking and inauguration of these projects during the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026 not only creates an atmosphere of excitement and determination across the city, but also demonstrates Hai Phong’s commitment to accelerating key projects, improving infrastructure, expanding development space, enhancing residents’ quality of life, and generating new momentum for growth in the coming phase.
