The program opened with a parade featuring five groups and around 300 participants, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the central flower garden area and attracting large crowds of residents and visitors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the cultural, artistic, and exhibition activity series, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, emphasized that throughout the 13 editions of the Red Flamboyant Festival, this was the first time the central flower garden area and the City Opera House Square had been arranged into distinctive and diverse spaces dedicated to history, culture, cuisine, and music.

Through these activities, the organizers aim to recreate the image of a historic Hai Phong rich in identity and cultural depth, alongside a modern Hai Phong that is vibrant, colorful, rapidly developing, green, and sustainable—especially highlighting the convergence of the cultural essence of Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province following the provincial administrative merger.

According to the Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, the central flower garden area and the City Opera House have long become unique and familiar cultural spaces deeply embedded in the memories of generations of Hai Phong residents.

The selection of this space for organizing the series of cultural and street art activities aims to honor heritage values, create a destination for residents and visitors to explore and experience, and meet the growing cultural enjoyment needs of the public.

Through this series of cultural, artistic, and exhibition activities, Hai Phong continues to affirm its position as a livable city and an attractive, safe, and friendly destination for both domestic and international tourists, while gradually realizing its goal of making culture a driving force for economic development and transforming Hai Phong into a “City of Music.”

Immediately after the opening ceremony, city leaders, delegates, and residents visited the exhibition spaces and experienced artistic activities at the central flower garden area and the City Opera House Square.
