The Lawyers’ Association of Hong Bang Ward (Hai Phong) coordinated to provide free legal consultation for local residents.

Representatives of the Lawyers’ Association of Hong Bang Ward and the Lawyers’ Association of the Hai Phong Bar Association signed a cooperation agreement.

On the afternoon of May 5, at the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Hong Bang Ward, the Lawyers’ Association of Hong Bang Ward, in coordination with the Lawyers’ Association of the Hai Phong Bar Association, organized a signing ceremony for a program to provide free legal consultation for local residents.

Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly organize periodic legal consultation sessions on the 5th of each month at the Hong Bang Ward Public Administrative Service Center.

The consultation will focus on essential areas closely related to people’s daily lives, such as civil matters, land issues, marriage and family, labor, and insurance. At the same time, the program will update and disseminate new legal policies and regulations, contributing to raising public awareness and compliance with the law at the grassroots level.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, lawyers and legal experts from the Lawyers’ Association of the Hai Phong Bar Association directly provided consultations and addressed various legal concerns of Hong Bang Ward residents, mainly related to administrative procedures, civil disputes, and land issues.

Lawyers and legal experts from the Lawyers’ Association of the Hai Phong Bar Association provide legal consultation for residents in Hong Bang Ward.

This is the opening event in a series of activities organized by the Hai Phong Lawyers’ Association to implement the pilot directive of the Central Vietnam Lawyers’ Association under Decision No. 129 dated January 30, 2024 by the Prime Minister, approving the project “Promoting the role of Lawyers’ Associations at all levels in legal dissemination and education for the 2024–2030 period.”

According to the plan, in addition to Hong Bang Ward, similar activities will be carried out in six other communes and wards, including An Bien, Le Chan, Le Thanh Nghi, Hai Duong, Kien Thuy, and Hop Tien, as well as at two Legal Consultation Centers under the Hai Phong Lawyers’ Association. These are areas and units with high demand for legal knowledge and favorable conditions for effectively organizing grassroots legal consultation activities.

By maintaining regular, free consultation services, the program helps create convenient and timely access to legal services for residents, thereby reducing prolonged disputes and complaints. At the same time, it promotes the role of lawyers and legal experts in accompanying local authorities in building a stable and healthy legal environment.
