The contractor has mobilized additional engineers and workers to accelerate progress on the T2 passenger terminal.

According to a representative of the T2 terminal contractor, as of early May, major works had reached about 35% completion, while auxiliary items were around 20% complete. The investor and contractors are stepping up efforts to meet the target of completing the project by May 2027.

To accelerate progress in line with commitments to the investor, contractors have mobilized additional engineers, workers, and equipment. Auxiliary works are being carried out in parallel with the main terminal structure.

The T2 passenger terminal project has a total investment of 2.6898 trillion VND and is being built on an area of about 23,200 square meters in Hai An ward, with a designed capacity of 5 million passengers per year.

The terminal will have two above-ground floors and will be connected to the apron. It will include 28 check-in counters, 14 self-service kiosks and an integrated baggage handling system.

The project is expected to raise the airport’s total capacity to 13 million passengers per year by 2030.
