Two Hai Phong’s gifted high schools enter top 5 in regional academic Olympiad
Two gifted high schools in Hai Phong ranked in the top 5 overall at the academic Olympiad for high schools for the gifted in the coastal and northern delta region.
On the afternoon of April 24, the academic Olympiad for Gifted high schools in the coastal and northern delta region officially concluded with an award ceremony held at Bac Giang Gifted High School.
Previously, on April 23, teams of gifted students from various provinces and cities in the region competed in 13 subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
This year's Olympiad saw the participation of 47 schools with 2,371 students. Hai Phong City has two schools: Nguyen Trai Gifted High School and Tran Phu Gifted High School.
The organizing committee awarded a total of 2,087 prizes, including 220 gold medals, 457 silver medals, 707 bronze medals, and 703 consolation prizes.
In the overall rankings, Hai Phong's two gifted schools entered the top 5. Nguyen Trai Specialized High School ranked 3rd with 17 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 22 bronze medals, and 12 consolation prizes.
Tran Phu High School for the gifted ranked 5th with 13 gold medals, 26 silver medals, 21 bronze medals, and 16 consolation prizes.
