Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company signs contract to build 10 new ships for South Korea
Pha Rung Shipbuilding One Member Limited Company has just signed a contract and a memorandum of understanding to build 10 6,500 DWT oil and chemical tankers for a South Korean partner.

Under the contract, the ships will have an overall length of 109.45 m, a design length of 102 m, a breadth of 18.2 m, a depth of 8.75 m, a draft of 6.8 m, and an operating speed of 13.5 knots.
The vessels will be double‑hulled, meeting international standards for safety and the environment, and will be classed under Korean Register (KR). They will be capable of transporting a wide range of oil and chemical products on regional and international routes.
Signing 6,500 DWT ships, together with earlier contracts, will help the enterprise secure stable employment for workers until 2031, while also supporting the expansion of ship repair and maintenance market.
