Vibrant book festival activities

Since mid-April 2026, the atmosphere at many schools has become lively like a festival. Activities in response to the Viet Nam Book and Reading Culture Day have been organized in diverse forms, such as team activities, topic-based reading, reflection writing, and project-based learning built around books. A standout feature is the proactive renewal of approaches, combining tradition and technology to bring books closer to students.

Beside traditional reading methods, many schools have pioneered the application of technology, built e-libraries, and gradually introduced English as a second language through reading activities.

These vibrant activities that spread the reading culture are gradually laying the foundation for reading habits among students. The city aims to build a comprehensive learning society, striving to achieve the title of a provincial ‘Learning Community’ in 2026 and join UNESCO’s Global Network of Learning Cities by 2027. In that journey, reading culture in schools plays a key role. In the coming time, schools will continue to innovate library activities, intensify book-related programs, and create vibrant and effective reading movements. At the same time, they will step up digital transformation, develop libraries and e-reading platforms, helping students access knowledge in ways suited to the digital era.
