Authorities in An Lao commune in Hai Phong aim to complete and put Vang 1 bridge into operation before the Lunar New Year in 2027, as construction progress is being accelerated.

201Construction Joint Stock Company is currently dismantling the old bridge in An Lao commune to make way for the new Vang 1 bridge.

After years of use, the existing bridge has deteriorated. The construction of a new bridge is therefore necessary, meeting local expectations and contributing to the development of transport infrastructure in the area.

Vang 1 bridge is built under Class III transport infrastructure standards, with a total length of 298 meters and a width of 16 meters.

According to the contractor, construction is expected to take about 10 months, six months shorter than the timeline set out in the contract with the investor.

The contractor has mobilized sufficient manpower and equipment, and is carrying out construction works simultaneously to accelerate progress and complete the project as soon as possible.

Under the design, Vang 1 bridge will be built to Class III transport infrastructure standards, with a total length of 298 meters and a width of 16 meters, including a 12-metre carriageway.

The structure is designed to modern standards, ensuring safety and durability, with an expected lifespan of around 100 years. Total investment is estimated at more than 148 billion dong.

During construction, local authorities have implemented traffic diversion measures to ensure smooth circulation.

Cars are being directed to use National Highway 10, while motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles are allowed to cross a temporary bridge over the Da Do river.

With accelerated construction progress and public support, authorities aim to complete and open Vang 1 bridge to traffic before the Lunar New Year in 2027.
