Vietnam waives transport fees to support businesses through June
Vietnam will waive a number of fees and charges in the transport sector through the end of June to help reduce logistics costs and support businesses.

The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular 40/2026/TT-BTC, providing exemptions for certain fees and charges in aviation, maritime and railway sectors to support production and business activities. The circular takes effect from April 7, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
Under the circular, fees and charges in the aviation sector will be waived, except for appraisal fees for permits to access restricted areas at airports and airfields, as stipulated in the fee schedule issued with Circular 193/2016/TT-BTC.
Maritime fees and charges will be waived for vessels entering and leaving maritime zones, in accordance with Chapter III of Circular 261/2016/TT-BTC, as amended and supplemented by Circulars 90/2019/TT-BTC and 74/2021/TT-BTC.
Fees and charges at inland waterway ports and terminals will also be waived for vessels operating between Vietnam’s inland ports and terminals, in line with Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 39/2026/TT-BTC.
In addition, fees for the use of state-invested national railway infrastructure will be waived, as stipulated in Point a, Clause 1, Article 3 of Circular 11/2026/TT-BTC.
From July 1, 2026, the fees and charges specified in Article 1 of Circular 40/2026/TT-BTC will turn to levels set out in the relevant circulars and any subsequent amendments or replacements.
