Visitor numbers surge at Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival 2026
With a range of distinctive cultural activities, the Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival 2026 created memorable experiences for both locals and visitors.

According to Mr. Ha Quang Thanh, Head of the Cam Giang Heritage Management Division under the Con Son – Kiep Bac Relic Management Board, approximately 7,000 residents and visitors came to the Mao Dien Temple of Literature for sightseeing and worship during the 2026 Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival, held from April 4 to April 6. The figure represents a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
This year, preparations for the festival were carried out carefully, while communication and promotional activities were strengthened across media channels and social media platforms. Favorable weather conditions and the fact that the two main days of the festival coincided with the weekend also contributed to attracting a larger number of residents and visitors to the heritage site.

This year marked the first time the festival was jointly organized by the Con Son – Kiep Bac Relic Management Board and the People’s Committee of Mao Dien Commune. Cultural and performing arts activities featured at the festival, including xam singing, ca tru, and cheo, were carefully organized with improved quality and presentation.
The traditional Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival helps preserve and promote the nation’s valuable cultural heritage, while also meeting the public’s demand for spiritual and cultural activities and providing visitors from across the country with an opportunity to experience traditional Vietnamese culture.
