Hai Phong strengthens cooperation with France
Hai Phong Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau affirmed that the city will create favorable conditions for investors. He directed relevant departments and sectors to proactively coordinate and support businesses.

On the afternoon of April 2, the Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation Le Tien Chau received a courtesy visit from the delegation of the French Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam.
Hai Phong is entering a new development phase with expanded space, scale, and position; continuing to leverage advantages in the international seaport system, transportation infrastructure, industrial zones, and economic zones to attract investment and promote socio-economic development.

The City Party Secretary assessed that cooperation between Hai Phong and French partners still has much room for development. The city leader hopes to strengthen cooperation with French partners in fields such as seaports - logistics, transportation infrastructure, green industry, urban development, and human resource training; while proposing to promote business connections and implement specific cooperation projects in the near future.

Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam, thanked the solemn and warm reception by the city's leaders. The Ambassador expressed profound admiration for Hai Phong's socio-economic development achievements, especially the strategic vision in urban planning, orientation for industrial, commercial, and service development.

The cooperation between Hai Phong and French has a long-standing foundation, manifested through imprints in architecture, culture, education, and healthcare. The French side is ready to promote specific cooperation programs in the near future, especially in areas where France has strengths such as seaport infrastructure, transportation, environmental technology, wastewater treatment, and sustainable urban development solutions.
