Cat Ba tourism season 2026 kicks off
An art program titled ‘Green Cat Ba 2026’ was held on Sunday evening at the central stage of Cat Ba tourist area, marking the opening of the Cat Ba tourism season 2026 and commemorating the 67th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Cat Ba and Cat Hai.

On the evening of March 28, at the central stage of the Cat Ba tourist area, Cat Hai Special Zone organized an artistic program titled ‘Green Cat Ba’. This was the highlight event of the festival marking the 67th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Cat Ba and Cat Hai (March 31, 1959 - March 31, 2026), and the opening of Cat Ba tourism season 2026.
The event was attended by member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau and Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council Le Van Hieu as well as other city’s leaders.
The artistic program titled ‘Green Cat Ba’ marking 67th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Cat Ba and Cat Hai and the opening Cat Ba tourism season 2026, has a great significance for the local tourism industry.
The program introduces and promotes the outstanding potential, strengths, unique features of the Cat Ba archipelago, a World Natural Heritage site, to a wide audience of domestic and international tourists, contributing to boosting demand and elevating Cat Ba tourism to new heights.
In recent years, under the leadership and direction of the Central government and the city, along with the efforts of the entire political system and the people, Cat Ba tourism has developed rapidly. Transportation infrastructure, accommodation facilities, and tourism services have been invested in synchronously and modernly. The tourism environment has been gradually improved.
In the coming period, Cat Hai Special Zone will continue to concentrate resources, strongly improve the business investment environment; enhance service quality; ensure security and safety for tourists. It will strengthen management to preserve landscapes, ecological environments, aiming for the goal of green, sustainable, and responsible tourism development.
The program featured three parts of ‘Cat Ba Rendezvous’, ‘Cat Ba Takes Off’, and ‘Cat Ba Green Vitality’ with performances by artists, dance troupes and students from Cat Hai special zone. The songs praised the homeland, the country and Hai Phong city. A highlight of the event was the reenactment of March 31, 1959, when President Ho Chi Minh visited Cat Ba, through emotional performances aimed at fostering public pride and awareness of heritage preservation.
The program concluded with modern and vibrant performances, conveying the message of Cat Ba as a green, friendly and attractive destination, striving to become an international-standard tourism hub ahead of the 2026 summer season.
