Hai Phong Port launches maritime service connecting Northeast Asia
The vessel Dongjin Venus of Dongjin Shipping arrived at Tan Vu Port on the morning of March 28, officially launching a maritime service route connecting Hai Phong with the Northeast Asia region.

On the morning of March 28, at Tan Vu Port branch of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, the vessel Dongjin Venus of Dongjin Shipping arrived at the port.
This marks the inaugural voyage of a container shipping service connecting Hai Phong with the Northeast Asia region.
The vessel Dongjin Venus measures 143 meters in length and 23 meters in width. The service route follows the itinerary: Incheon – Qingdao – Hai Phong – Shekou – Xiamen – Incheon, providing a direct maritime connection between Vietnam, South Korea, and China.

To launch the new maritime service route, Dongjin Shipping has partnered with Dongyoung Shipping and Pan Continental Shipping. The cooperation aims to expand market share and improve service quality in the Hai Phong area.

Mr. Le Minh Hai, Head of the Business Department of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, said that Dongjin Shippingis one of the leading container shipping lines in South Korea with an extensive operating network. The arrival of Dongjin Shipping’s first vessel at Tan Vu Port marks an important milestone in the cooperation between Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company and Dongjin Shipping. It also affirms the capacity of Tan Vu Port with its synchronized infrastructure system, modern equipment, advanced information technology applications, and high-quality services, which are always ready to meet the needs of international shipping lines.
The launch of this new service route not only helps diversify the shipping network but also enhances the connectivity capacity of Hai Phong Port within the regional supply chain, contributing to the goal of developing a modern, sustainable, and internationally integrated seaport system.

Previously, on March 27, the Tan Vu Port Branch held a ceremony to receive the “Zero Accident 2025” certificate awarded by NYK Line. This is an important award recognizing absolute safety standards, particularly the fact that no damage occurred to cargo during the entire process of loading and unloading RORO vessels.
The Tan Vu Port Branch serves as a key hub for receiving and handling automobile cargo flows operated by major Japanese shipping lines, including NYK Line.
In 2025, the branch received and handled 61 RORO vessel calls, with import–export throughput reaching around 70,000 vehicles of various types, ensuring absolute safety, high productivity, and service quality.
